The Power of Vision and Resilience in Teamwork
Working on a team can be as challenging as it is rewarding. I’ve learned this firsthand in my digital marketing class, where I’m part of a group tasked with developing a product and a comprehensive business plan. Like many group projects, this one hasn’t been without its hurdles. Personal issues and attendance struggles have often left just a few of us to carry the weight.
Despite these challenges, I’ve discovered the power of resilience and proactive leadership. I’ve taken the initiative to assign tasks, ensure open communication, and allow time for collaboration. Planning ahead has been crucial, especially since some team members reach out only at the eleventh hour. While this approach requires patience, it’s taught me the importance of adaptability and the value of creating space for others to contribute in their own time.
Interestingly, this teamwork experience ties into my broader professional goals. My family’s business, BEISBOLMANIA, has thrived because of a similar commitment to resilience and vision. Overcoming challenges like fake competitor ads and navigating the post-COVID reopening of our store in Oaxaca required determination and a belief in our purpose. I’ve seen how clear communication and a strong vision can unite a team, whether in a classroom or a company.
My focus on organization and foresight stems from both my upbringing and my academic journey. Pursuing dual degrees in digital marketing and business administration has sharpened my ability to plan strategically while remaining flexible. I’ve also found that balancing schoolwork, personal goals, and professional responsibilities requires a deep sense of purpose. For me, that purpose often revolves around helping others—whether it’s connecting with customers or uplifting my teammates.
Teamwork isn’t always smooth, but when approached with empathy and determination, it becomes a powerful learning experience. Each project is an opportunity to grow, adapt, and, ultimately, succeed.
